I'm afraid this is a user not understanding how amazon marketplace works.

It's been mainstream news that a lot of scammers have been doing this for a while

If you read the subreddit, he didn't buy it direct from Amazon, it was from a marketplace seller and was far cheaper than its value.

Basically, user should have known it was a scam just from the listing, and videocardz should have specified that in the article and not sensationalised it.

The fact it also took him 6 months to work out it wasn't an i9 suggests they're not very computer savvy also as initial benchmarks and stresses would have shown this as soon as they first tested the pc aside from that all temperature programs and system info correctly listed it as a 13700k.

I have zero sympathy.
