Very Conflicted About Laptop Choice

Hello everyone, I have been browsing the forum for many days now, and I think I’m ready to purchase a gaming laptop from here. I saw there were many options for the 15.6 inch laptops, and it’s really hard to pick one. I’m looking for a laptop to play games on (mainly league of legends and FPS games), and the capability to stream in the future. The most important thing for me is the temperature - which 15.6 laptop would have the lowest temperature when gaming? I don’t mind if the laptop is a DTR (I would game on the laptop screen and its keyboard, not an external monitor btw) or not, just want a laptop that has the lowest possible temp while gaming. I read that the NOVA is a good choice, but is it the best in terms of temps and cooling? What about the Viper/Recoil? My old laptop that broke down was a Razer Blade 15 i7-10750H 6 Core RTX 2070 with Max Q (dumb choice of brand, I know), would a laptop like the Nova run hotter than that laptop? I would really appreciate it if someone could recommend a build for me (15.6), a laptop that would have good temps while gaming (don’t really care about the fan noise). My budget is anything below 2000 pounds.I would also rather the laptop be overkill than just enough to run games. Thank you so much and I really appreciate any help!

I would say that the nova has better thermal performance between the 15.6" laptops. If you don't care about noise, just crank the fans up to max and your temps will be lower than other laptops (just make sure you're using a noise-cancelling headphone :ROFLMAO: )

If you're really that much concerned about temperatures, then you need to get a lower specced CPU and GPU, even though that will give you less performance. Keep in mind that the Nova chassis was designed to handle up to an RTX 2070 and Ryzen 9 3900, so if you get a Ryzen 3 or 5 with a GTX 1660Ti or RTX 2060, you'll have lower temperatures for sure.

Another great thing is the tuning possibilities on the Nova, since you can use Ryzen Master to underclock and undervolt the CPU as much as you want, bringing temps down to what you like. Laptop CPUs, meanwhile, don't provide you with that much tunability, but have lower TDP by default (45W x 65W on the Nova). But as I said: undervolting will bring the TDP down to whatever value you want.
