Very slow connection to internet.

I hinted at this in the sub-forum for Elite.

My connection to the internet is excruciatingly slow, as far as i can make out I have downloaded all the updates for motherboard and Windows 10.

Any advice or guidance would be appreciated.

I'm assuming you're cable connected to your router then, since you have no wireless card?

When you say you've downloaded all the updates does that mean you've run Windows Update or something else?

You must run Windows Update repeatedly as soon as you receive it to ensure its fully up to date.

The mobo has on board WiFi.

Have you run Windows Update repeatedly until no more updates are found?

Have you manually installed drivers from anywhere other than Windows Update?

Using the link provided by one you of good gents, I think I have downloaded the correct driver from ASUS site for the Wireless setting and LAN. Just redid the Speedtest, and now have:

There was also a windows update that was released last night, downloaded that as well.

Seems a lot better than what it was earlier, I will have started to download Elite Dangerous Horizons, initially started off much faster, now with about 5% remaining it says 1hr, 1st 95% took 20 mins, so yes a dramatic improvement. I will also ask a couple of neighbours to see if they have issues (I live in a block of flats), we are not a fibre connection until street level.

Now to get a can of cola, eat some dinner and calm down, and wait till the next thing. Later I will download another game as a check.
