VIA Drivers for 8.1 / name of sound chip

I wonder if anyone knows the exact model number of the sound chip used on the Optimus V / Clevo W370st chassis?
Just need to know in order to download the correct sound drivers for my laptop, there are several to choose from
on the via website, arranged by chipset model though.

Why not download the driver direct from the Clevo website at http://clevo.com/en/e-services/download.asp? That way you'll be sure to get the right driver for your OS.

I have the latest drivers from Clevo for 8.1 from their site, just trying to get to the bottom of the via drivers really, all the ones listed on their
site are from November 2012, so wondering where Clevo got an 8.1 via technologies driver from. I'm just playing around trying to see if there is
any way to improve the sound from the onkyo speakers in the optimus, so far nada unfortunately.

The Onkyo speakers in the Optimus are dreadful, they're just as bad in my Optimus IV. It's a known weakness I'm afraid.

Yeah I know they aren't up to much, I did comment on them in my review, was just playing to see if there was any slight improvement to be made.
