vMix does not work with this new PC Specialist laptop.

I am posting this to warn people who use vMix and also for some who may have a creative solution to the video/audio issue that is created with the laptop specification listed below running on Windopws 11.

Please note that the tech support at PC Specialists after much testing reported that the problem was with vMix software that has been on the market for years and is regularly updated.

Only reason this laptop was purchased was to use vMix & livestreaming and replace my previous PC Specialist laptop (Windows 10) so it is a painful one.

PROBLEM:
Running vMix in Windows 11 with

1) Open up vMix FULL SCREEN.
2) Create a new vMix Web Browser with link: https://www.youtube.com/live/zE8VSUG5_ZY?feature=share.
3) In vMix web browser playing the YouTube video after you accept cookie stuff from YouTube, open up the YouTube video in the Web browser full screen and make sure audio is on in the YouTube video. Skip youtube adverts and scroll to when the host starts talking.
4) Open up Windows Notepad, (FULL SCREEN) while listening to the audio coming from vMix that is now hidden by Notepad.

For me the audio plays normally for about 5 secs then gets distorted - could also say the video playing in vMix's browser gets distorted which distorts the audio. When you give vMix the focus and bring to front the audio stays distorted for about 5 seconds and then goes normal. This issue also happens with browsers open FULL SCREEN. Problem, is related to opening up software like Note Pad and Browsers FULL SCREEN while running vMix.

If the issue is the software itself you’d need to raise it with the developers, they’re the only ones who can address it as no one else has the source code.

It’s likely an incompatibility with a windows update or something, it won’t be just on PCS laptops

If you go to https://www.vmix.com/ you’d need to raise a support request there
