Vortex 1250

Hi there, my name is Jerry and I live in Ireland. I am trying to get a top notch gaming PC for my son. I have an eye on the Vortex 1250. There are a few changes that I want to make to the system. Firstly a 1Tb first hard drive and secondly I would like some SSD. Any thoughts or suggestions welcome.

Hi Jerry,
What is your budget? What games does your son play?

Hi Jerry and welcome to the forums.

If you could post up your full spec (there is a link to help at the bottom of the configurator page), budget and intended use it'll be easier for other forum members to help!

For gaming an i5-3570 + GTX 670 will perform better than the i7-3770 HD 7950. Most games are gpu dependant and use 4 or less cores, if you want to benefit from an SSD I'd suggest having it as the primary drive to speed up windows and other applications. The motherboard/psu also gives you a choice to add a 2nd GTX 670 in the future to improve gaming performance. A single GTX 670 should max most games at high settings.

If you want to sped around £1200 I'd suggest the spec I posted above (£1124). It will allow you to play the games you mentioned at high settings as well as other games such as Battlefield 3.
