hey forum

i'm about to get a high end laptop as an upgrade to my current basic one.

here is my build (attached), does it look ok/ what would you change?

i'm going to be using it mainly for video editing, photoshop, large excel sheets, general browsing, hd movies and a small bit of gaming.

also, i've decided to stick with windows 7 for this laptop anyway.

Morning. it's the graphics card. The one in your first spec is considerably better. For your purposes it looks like either would do the job, you definitely have the processor power. As a middle ground you could change the gfx card to a gtx670m but not sure how much it'd save cash wise over the 675mx. :)

A bit difficult to check :) If you click "proceed" and the "post to forums" it you could copy/paste the quote for others to have a look at your 2 specs.
I think the main difference is the different chassis and the graphics card. I don't think you will benefit much from having a hybrid HDD if your main drive is an SSD.

EDIT: mod has to approve the vortex spec list. it let me post this one though.

so to recap, the difference is the chassis and vram, i'm leaning towards the optimus iv at this moment.

another question, "I don't think you will benefit much from having a hybrid HDD if your main drive is an SSD."

so i'm better off going with the 750wd scorpio then?
