Vortex IV For 3D modelling

Hi,

I'm currently considering a new laptop to use in the field to check if the 3D modelling I am doing is working - basically needs to create a point cloud quickly so I can make sure everything's recorded before I leave site/ the site is destroyed (I'm an archaeologist). I use Agisoft Photoscan for this, and I will also be using the laptop for general CAD work (AutoCAD 2012) and the odd game here and there (well you need to relax don't ya). For gaming, I'd hook it up to my tv so screen size doesn't matter to me. The specs below are what I'm considering, and I've put the recommended specs for Photoscan below as well. What I'd also like to know is will I be able to upgrade the CPU to the i7-4940MX at a later date myself if I decide I need more processing power. I'm only getting the 16GB of Ram at the moment, but again may well upgrade to 32 depending on performance issues.

Actually I'm thinking I may go for the Vortex IV 17.3" with the same specs, as then I get to keep the cd/dvd drive and still have the two hard drives, and it's only £50ish more
