Vortex IV issues

Hello,
I received my Vortex IV this morning. Everything seems to be fine.
However the "driver devices & utilities" disk doesn't work. I place the disk in the tray it loads up and i get the following options
1: Install drivers
2: Option drivers
3: Users manuals
4: Browse CD

When i select either option one or two it says "OS system you are using is not supported"
I'm not sure why, do i need this disk? Surely installing drivers is important right?

Another issue currently is the backlit Keyboard i assumed it would but lit up but it isn't, i can't find anything to change the keyboard setting etc.
Any help would be appreciated thanks!

You may want to contact PCS to check that the correct drivers were sent to you. Did you get instructions manual with your laptop? I got mine and it tells you how to use the backlit keyboard.

I encountered the same issue with my Vortex IV that I received last week however I was provided with two disks. One of which worked with the GUI, the other of which said the same as you. Unfortunately half of the drivers on the second disk were missing. However if you browse the files on the disk you should be able to install the drivers thats how I did it.... well once you get over half of them not finding the hardware

Can i wipe everything? Drivers not installing...

Okay hello guys,
I bought a vortex Iv.
All went well turned it on etc.
However i then didn't use an of the disks provided with the laptop, Ie the Windows 7 home premium SP1 disk (i installed windows on first time start up so didn't think it was necessary), Aswell as the driver disk.
I then started to download things i needed for example chrome, itunes etc. I then tried using the driver instillation disk but it said that the OS was not support? (no idea why seeming as i just installed windows 7)
I then inserted the windows 7 disk and it went through first time installation again and i had to enter my windows 7 key again. That all worked but when i tried to install drivers from the driver disk it still said the OS wasn't supported?
I then began to manually install drivers via the CD's folders, i did a few however some couldn't be done. I restarted the laptop and i got a black screen With a black box and loads of white writing for ages. It stopped so i rebooted the laptop, its back to normal now i suppose although it seems slow...Surely i'm going to need to install the drivers from the disk but it won't allow me.
Is there a way to effectively wipe everything and start again as if im turning the laptop on for the first time? Slightly disappointed with the product currently.
Any advice for me?
Thank you
Josh

Hi,best stick to the one thread for the same issue so I've merged them.
All drivers are pre-installed on the laptop, doing a clean install of the operating system is effectively starting from scratch without drivers, and it looks like you've already done that.
Instructions on doing a clean install of the operating system are given in the welcome booklet,if the drivers from the supplied disk don't install after doing this best to give tech support a call (0844 499 4000)

Even if you do manage to install drivers from disk provided you will probably now need to download the graphics card and wireless card drivers from manufacturers websites as these might not be included on disk.
To do so you will need to connect the laptop by ethernet cable or download from another computer and store drivers on media such as a USB stick.
