Voyager II Horrific sound quality?

Received it today, but really low quality audio through headphones and speakers (External). Really tinny etc. Any ideas?

Have the same issue with my Vortex 3. No solution, other than I purchased an FiiO E10 external USB sound card / headphone amp.

My 6 year-old Dell M1730 has infinitely better sound, including the built-in speakers. Onkyo may seem like a good brand, but in reality it sounds like a £300 laptop from e-machines.
