VPN vs the Tor Browser for general Internet use

Hi,

I have been using Brave as for my web browser, which is very good in terms of the amount of ads and trackers that are blocked.

I am just wondering would it be better to use either the Tor Browser for browsing the Internet or just use a VPN with Brave as the web browser?

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated, please.

I just would like to able to make my web browsing experience more secure by reducing the amount of ads and trackers, including being about to manage browser cookies if needed, too.

I wouldn’t suggest Tor for that, tor browser connects over the onion network which is very slow.

firefox or brave would be my choices.

The (paid for) VPN that I use has a plugin for Chromium and Firefox. As I type I'm using a UK IP address through Brave via that plugin. I use it because it means all the sites I visit assume I'm British rather than Greek.
