I havent done any research on gaming hardware in ages, so Im guessing a bit here. Looking to order in a few weeks (maybe a month). Used for VR and graphics rendering. I have a couple of bigger SSD's, but I will not let me buy without a hdd of some sort. Probably Rift as it is cheaper than the Vive (although the vive is amazing). I am looking to keep it as cheap as possible (I know it doesnt look it!)

If you're getting a non-K CPU and 2133MHz DDR4 you could save quite a lot by going for the H110 chipset motherboard instead: http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/computers/intel-skylake-home-office-pc/

I'd also definitely suggest a better case that has better airflow and more fans.

If you can stretch a little further you might consider a pre-OCed build with faster DDR4. I hear that getting as much performance out of the CPU as possible is an asset for VR, and depending on the rendering you're doing it's likely to assist there too.

That does look amazing, unfortunately it is a bit too expensive. Especially as I need to get the VR headset as well...

Could you recommend a case that isnt red? (a smartish blue or black one would be great)

You could go with the overclocked build and a CM212 Evo CPU cooler. The Noctua is preferable but the Evo will do and is £40 cheaper, possibly wrangling it back down into reach?

As for cases, anything ~£in the order of 50 or more, ideally with 3 fans. NZXT S340 if you don't need an optical drive or can use an external one.
