PCS Frostflows are a big question mark mate, no way I'd personally let my build hinge on an unknown like that CPU cooler. Go with a tried and tested plus recommended by us CPU cooler mate. Wouldn't want you to have issues due to something that's an unknown quantity

Yeah looking solid with the additions you're going to make once you've got it, about the only thing I'd suggest is splash another £18 and get the 1000W RMx PSU

The Samsung 970 is a Gen 3 NVMe, if you can afford a Gen 4 like the 980 or one of the Firecudas it’s well worth it. I also personally wouldn’t want a 2TB as my main drive, I’d go smaller at 500GB and then a larger, slower M.2 as my primary storage. You could pop your current M.2 drive in a caddy and use it as external storage for odds and sods 👍

Also, what would you say to @Steveyg suggestion above? If I was to get a Corsair H115i, I'd need to lower RAM to 16GB to fit the budget.

I'd love to, but it blows the budget, my initial version had 980 pro :D

1000W just gives more overhead, lets it run cooler and quieter but not required.

I'd say get the better cooler and buy more RAM later. You can easily install more RAM just slot it in but installing a new CPU cooler is a much larger task in comparison

Doesn't make sense to spend so much on a build then cheap out on a critical component of hardware health

With the standard 3080 its £2423

£ 438 for a 3080ti over a 3080 is not worth the extra money

Price went up on components I personally would not buy the 3080ti at that price there is a save quote option that keeps.it at the specced price for 5 days I think the 3080ti variant isnt a significant improvement on a standard 3080 to warrent that price increase

I still have my 1080 which gets me an ok experience, so I'll wait for the Ti - it was my main reason for the upgrade

Hi everyone,
so I've spent the last week and a half trying to beat PCS at their game of quickly changing prices.
Now, would you believe that for the spec above that was £2,861.00 just a few days ago I've now been quoted £2,563.00 this morning? :cool:
This meant just ~£200 difference between 3080 and 3080Ti, and the price of 3080Ti of just above £1100. Now the prices are different again, but I have my 5 day quote which made my morning.
I think I'm pretty much ready to pull the trigger now, thanks for your help guys!

This aint the place for selling machines mate, you'd be better looking up ebay or marketplace listings of similar builds to get an idea of cost. Unfortunately not something we can help with
