To make it clear, i`m going to buy high end laptop with the specification i already chosen, with i5-6600K cpu, gtx 970M, 8 GB hyper-x, wireless killer, will be more than enough for me (and will work for me for years i hope).

However im not sure, are there any differences between those 2 models, besides size and price. Are their cooling somewhat different? It seems like 17.3" model should have better cooling, due to the sizes, fans should have more space to work with. Im not sure, how you guys think??

It is a size difference and the 15 inch gives you more screen options

I hope, nothing besides that. :p

Im going to take smaller one, the bigger one would be bigger than my cooling pad lol.

Dunno about the MkII Octane, but the Octane 17" MkI, had sturdier hinges and a subwoofer. And yeah logic would have it that the larger model would have slightly better cooling potential, esp running desktop cpu's.

And yes, it really is cooler, quieter and has better display, according to those benchmarks:

I guess i will save a little more and invest my money into a better, bigger model as it has advantages in construction and better speakers as well.

The Octane also allows the cheaper 9.5mm 2TB HDDs (as the 2TB SSDs are still ludicrously expensive). Seagate has announced a 7mm 2TB HDD but it's not available yet.
