What laptop do i need

I am in the process of buying a laptop for a relative and as a gaming desktop guy i really am out of my comfort zone. All i have decided on so far is it must be a core i3 or above, 4gb of ram, have a 13" (ish) display, have a num pad and either needs to come with an ssd, or be cheap enough for me to buy a seperate ssd and install it. In terms of os either windows 7 or 10, and it shouldn't be touchscreen or one of those tablet detachable things.

So does anyone have any ideas?

Mainly videos, word editing presentations etc. so hardly instensive tasks. Budget...preferably under £400
I guess i could perhaps move on the cpu to save money

Looking at their options, it seems PCS don't sell anything with an i3 CPU and 1080p screen for under £400. I wouldn't recommend getting a laptop with a really weak CPU as it will start struggling sooner, and I wouldn't get less than a 1080p screen, especially if the person will be watching videos. You might be better either revising the budget up or looking for an off-the-shelf option from somewhere else.
