Which is better: Titan or GTX 780

I'm looking to buy a desktop and am not sure which graphics card to go for. Which is better the 6GB TITAN or the GTX 780? What exactly is the difference? And is there much between the 770 and the 780?

I want to use it for high-end gaming.

You need to check benchmarks for the games you are interested online. The titan is the best gpu of the ones you listed but not very good value for money, 2nd gtx 780 and 3rd GTX 770.

The Titan seems a lot more expensive and as you suggest does not seem to represent value for money, so perhaps the 780 would be better...

The 780 is a brilliant card, I'm only running a single 1080p monitor but it handles games with consummate ease and it's nice to know there's plenty of grunt in reserve. I was considering the Titan at one point but I'm glad I went with the 780.

yeah go for the 780 mate. If you want titan like performance, go for the Palit 780 super jetstream - http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/graphics/57437-palit-geforce-gtx-780-super-jetstream/

from that it looks like it bests a titan in alota games.

oh, and there's the normal palit version 780, a jet stream version and the super jet stream. But you may have to ask PCS to get you the super version.
