Who makes the AMD 6950.

Who supplies the AMD 6950. Is it like ASUS or someone else because some versions can be flashed to a 6970.

An admin posted somewhere else that it is usually whatever they can get their hands on at the cheapest price, some cards are very low in quantity and therefore do not get a choice but im not sure who their 'preferred' supplier is
