Wi-Fi very weak and wont connect

So I just received my PC from pcspecialist, and it's good, however, when I try to connect to the internet, I can only detect my own modem, plus its only 3 bars and I cannot connect. Also, my modem is not far away at all, other devices in that area such as my PS4 connect just fine. I bought the cheapest wireless card, the settings say its the Ralink 802.11n. Any help will be appreciated, thank you.

What modem would you want to connect other than your own??

If it's three bars then surely that means you ARE connected? Do you mean you're connected to your router but that the router isn't actually connecting you to the Internet?
