WIFI and Ethernet randomly stop working

Hi, for a little while now the WIFI and Ethernet connections on my laptop have been a bit temperamental and randomly stop working, which sometimes requires a restart of everything network related in the house to fix.
I have updated and rolled back all the network drives I can find, but the problem still persists. Does anyone have any suggestions?

That sort of sounds like it might be more of a router or ISP issue to me, since you say that everything network related needs a restart?

Only occasionally, and only for the laptop (all other devices have no problem).

By any chance is this a Windows 10 machine with Creator's udpate on it?

There are loads of reported issues with networking (though more WiFi than wired, to be fair).

Also if you have a Intel AC 7xxx or 8xxx try dropping back two versions of the driver. Mine was awful on 19 or 18.

It doesn't seem to be limited to Intel from what I've seen.

All I can suggest is trying different versions of the driver. Worked for me in the end.
