Never done overclocking before but would I be better off with the Rampage Extreme IV? I do a lot of programming and photo editing, is 16GIG going to be enough?

Any other comments/suggestions welcome :)

I'd suggesting getting pcs to overclock your pc for you, then you are covered with warranty dude.

Rampage Extreme IV shoulb provide better overclocking results. Btw why did you choose a 1200w psu? For a single gtx580 its overkill. A 650w-750w power supply would be enough.
16gb of ram should be enough.
I also think that buying an already overclocked pc from pcspecialist would be a better idea. Especially since you would be covered by warranty.

Thanks guys for the replies. Reason for the 1200W PSU is that I plan on putting in a second 3GB 580 at a later date (if I want to upgrade later, chances are the nvidia card will need yet more power!), along with another hard disk and memory. I just want to spread the cost a bit

I phoned yesterday to ask about CPU Coolers as I can't chose one as its the new Socket 2011, they said it would be Akasa, does that mean I might get a Akasa Venom? Or should I consider Liquid Cooling?

£2400 ish. Haven't bought a new PC in about 8yrs, so thought I spend a bit more. Currently using an AMD 64 3200+ with 2gig of RAM

Bright Spark
Very nice system spec.

A single 580 GTX is enought o run almost all of the most recent title releases maxed out in 1080p (being generous with AA/AF).

Regarding the RAM volume; if this concerns you, you could always opt for 2x 8GB rather than 4x 4GB, allowing you to upgrade to the full 64GB limit without having to replace DIMMs in the future.
