I'm going to upgrade. It's free, lifetime support, gives me Cortana, lots of lovely window options for organisation of work and brings back a proper start menu (Windows 8.1 START panels suck without a touchscreen).
I can't foresee anything bad with upgrading, apart from maybe a few initial bugs to be worked out...

I'll be tempted to wait a month or too to see what the reaction is. However it will be like typing in symptoms into a health search I suppose, you know you have a cold but before you know it you've got some totals painful incurable medical condition resulting in death. Hmm might just have ago! Can it be uninstalled? How much bloatware? Windows 8.1 was a shock when I realised how much they knew about me.So many questions.

Looks like there will be an option to revert back - "If you decide you don’t like Windows 10 for some reason, you will be able to revert to your earlier operating system"

If you are a gamer, you really want to switch to Win10 sooner or later. DX12 is going to be so superior compared to previous generations. A lot of stuff is happening this year in regards to hardware and now with Windows 10 and DX12, it's going to be a good year for PC Gamers, at last
