Windows 7 OEM

I now have my new laptop and on my old one I would like to reformat it and do a clean install of windows 7. My question is can I use the disk I got with my laptop or desktop from PCSpecialist both are OEM versions but I have my own windows key on my old laptop so I wouldn't be using the same key they would all be different. I'm guessing the disk its self isn't tied to any specific computer just the windows key but thought I would check first.

I have looked online but all I can find is using one OEM key onto a different computer which is not what I want to do.

Thanks

As far as I'm aware the discs (if for the same version of Windows) should be identical so you'll have no problems using either one for what you want to do :)

Yeah, just make sure they're both the same version of Windows 7 (ie - Both OEM, Windows 7 Pro 64bit etc.)

All are 64bit home premium I take it year wise would make no difference as the laptop was bought when windows 7 first came out

Finished the clean install seems to have made it quite a bit faster getting rid of all that junk and starting fresh, thanks for the help.
