Windows 7 product key not working

Hello there, I have just started up my new computer, and it asks me for a product key. So i look at the back of the tower and find it. I enter the prodcut key and it simply doesnt work. Every time it says invalid.

Are you sure you're copying it down correctly - some of those characters can look very similar to each other, I know it can be tricky trying to figure out what it says whilst bending down on the floor, with a torch cos its dark at the back of the PC, trying to write stuff down whilst not landing in a heap on the floor

you are right it is quite tricky but i have tried every single possibile combination that it could be. For example, using a 2 instead of an Z, because they do look the same, i have tried many times and it just says invaild

It loads for about 10-15 secs, (load meaning the cursor turns into a blue cricle and revolves) but then says, invalid. That is why i know i am writing the right one in, because when i try a different one it says invalid straight away.
