Hi guys
ive been given a Dell D 630 laptop i need to reinstall windows 7. I put in the cd installation begins i then get a error saying cannot install as BIOS is not suitable any ideas why please as it already has 7 installed

You must ensure that the version of Windows 7 you are installing is the same as the version installed. If Windows 7 Home is installed you cannot install Windows 7 Pro, for example. This is because the product key is contained within the BIOS and it's only valid for the version of Windows that originally came with the laptop.
