Windows 8.1 Driver or BIOS Refresh for Vortex III

I had this "beast" for a couple of years now; used mainly for consultancy work and a bit of social - I am no gamer :gunsmilie: . I am on the whole, quite pleased with it despite being a bit noisy and the sheer weight of it. Recently, I noticed recently it takes ages to reconnect to my WIFI esp. when coming out of hibernation . Hence I just wondered had anyone found this and if so how did you get around it?

Also, I have kept to the original drivers and BIOS - has anyone installed the latest and if so, what were the benefits? If you have url of the driver location that would be great.

I've recently update the Bios of my Vortex 2 after a brightness problem i was having with Windows 8 however this did not fix the problem sadly.

I can see a bios update brining you any benefits to be honest. If you do want to do this i would get in touch with PCS and get their copy of the BIOS, you will need to give them your existing BIOS from your start up screen.

Other than that your drivers should keep themselves up to date, the only one that changes much really is the GPU driver and you can get them updated easily from Nvidia or AMD depending on which you have.

In regards to noise i would have a look at my cleaning guide, should be simmilar to your machine, it might help with the noise a little the get a wee bit noiser with time.
