Windows Updates problems -KB2858725

Hi all!
So a while back I had an issue with a Windows Update that cause me alot of problems with my PC, my FPS in games went from 120ish to 15 as soon as it was installed. Further more, and this I don't think I'll ever understand, it massively effected my net connection aswell (webpages loaded slowly, couldn't do anything in games as it was like I was lagging out.) At the time, this update was known as KB2858725 I believe and from having a dig around I knew back then that it was causing alot of people problems thus I removed it and the problems disappeared.

Since then, I've not been automatically installing updates and I've left it a few months between each time I do. That said, today when I installed the updates, the same KB2858725 was installed (unbeknownst to me) and I'm having the exact same issues. Massive FPS drops and really poor net connection. My question is, as I go through my computer and once again remove everything marked with today's date, why is the same buggy "Update" still available today? Wasn't KB2858725 released nearly an entire year ago? And is there anyone else having this problem/knows a way to fix it?

After the install, try running the fixer tool:

Or you might want to uninstall NET Framework completely and reinstall it from the offline installer at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40779&751be11f-ede8-5a0c-058c-2ee190a24fa6=True. Take a manual restore point before you do this though. Better yet, take a disk image.
