Set in an alternate timeline where the Nazis won the war and painted against a backdrop of Jimi Hendrix, B. J Blazkowicz returns to lay waste to the mechanised armies of the Fuhrer. Trailer is pretty cool - gota be one of the best openings to any song ever (even though he pinched it from Bob Dylan.)

That had me yearning for Return to Castle Wolfenstein but looking at it on Steam it doesn't look like it's held up well. Shove nostalgia, I'll buy this instead.

Return to castle wolfenstein is awesome, there's few mods that will help make it look as good as you remember

Plus enemy territory <3

To be fair - these are most likely "recommended" specs. Considering that ID Tech 5 is running this game and that the GTX 460 is a respectable card even today (given its age). The i7 is likely down to the engine wanting to take advantage of as many threads as it can get its hand on, especially when you consider the Xbox 360 is capable of 6 threads, PS3 is capable of the same+, PS4 same+, XB1 same+ - in all likelihood they have developed the IDT5 engine to be thread hungry now that you have parity (to some extent) across all new/old platform for multi-core computation.

Only part of this that surprises me is the 4GB of RAM, when I was expecting more alongside 8 at a minimum.
-> The 50GB just seems normal to me now when you consider all platforms (exception of X360) utilise blu-ray mediums or full download potential so heavy compression techniques used in the past can be done away with - this may be exactly the case when you consider the X360 edition comes on 4 DVD's.

Not seen a review yet, but I keep looking out for one. I'm so tempted by the game, but not going to waste money if it is not any good.

Just checked on Steam and min requirement is i7.

Requires i7 as minimum?

Damn, that's harsh, I know a lot of people who want it and won't be buying it then.

Saying that they don't go into details about which i7, they could mean the older i7's in which case the newer i5's would be fine right?

The PCG review gave me a nudge to buy it. I wasn't sure about it, but does seem like a game someone cared about making.

And also I liked the point of it being a SP only game, but still a lot of effort put in. Not many around these days :)
