Worst customer service possible?

Hello forum,


Just wanted to flag up a few things about customer service offered by PC Specialist. I've ordered my laptop on 31st of October and haven't still received it?!? Here're the details of my order:

Processed Date 31-10-2013
Pre-Production Date 05-11-2013
Build Date 15-11-2013
Test Date 18-11-2013
Awaiting Dispatch Date 19-11-2013
Dispatch Date 19-11-2013

I was meant to receive my laptop this Wednesday (20th of November), but I got a call from PC Specialist saying that I'm receiving someone else's laptop and someone else has received mine... How can this possibly happen in such a large firm!?! I was told that both of use have to send our laptops back (even though I did even receive it). They then meant to check it for scratches etc and send it to me. The guy on the phone said that they should receive both of the laptops on Thursday and send it to me using special delivery which meant I should have received it today, but nothing came. In addition to this, I've asked him whether or not they will update the tracking number on my account and he said they will, but nothing has changed since which means they did not even send it to me yet!??! This is one of the worst experiences I had and I will definitely not purchase from here again and tell my friends not to purchase from here cause this is ridiculous.

I had that same situation mate. I was waiting for delivery twice (i took day off at work either), and nothing came, no respond on emails as well.
The most helpful person in my problem is Jack T. Maybe call pcs and ask for him xD

Hopefully when you get your pc everything will be okay with it. Mine wasn't and i lost 2 months for 4 returns and now im waiting third week for refund. I couldn't and i didn't even use it for one full day. So your thing is not that bad on the end of the day.

Sorry to hear that dude. There is a saying we have in restaurants - if one thing goes wrong for one table, everything goes wrong!

It seems as though PCS have tried to rectify the issue and you say "How can something go wrong in such a large company?" - well you kind of answered that yourself... anyway. Mistakes happen. I'm sure PCS will try their best to fix this for you.

I don't mind so much about the delay and I understand that they made mistake. However, I think they could have performed a lot better in informing what's going to happen next and how it will work as all I know at the moment is that I should have my laptop today but it's not here and they haven't informed me why there's a delay and what's happening.

Oh wow... That's just terrible. I wish I have found these kind of reviews before purchasing from them.. It doesn't seem like they really care about their customers. Feel sorry for you and hope you solve it out soon. :)

Do remember that there will always be someone that comes out unhappy, no company can keep all 100% of it's customer base happy, it just doesn't happen :(
Your problem was obviously a mistake that happened, let PCS try fix it before coming to any conclusions :)

It was a mistake, but if something like this happen I expect them to stay in touch with me via email or phone to tell me what's happening or why my laptop did not arrive today. I know that no company has 100% customer satisfaction, but other firms at least try to do something to make them happy. Their actions clearly show that they don't really care about customer satisfaction as other firms have things in place to monitor their customer satisfaction and actually try and IMPROVE which is clearly not happening at PCS. It's just my opinion so no hate :)

I am sorry to hear your problems, I am just curious what other retailers are able to do to make their customers happy when a mistake is made.

Well when I purchased laptop from Samsung I have selected dark blue colour and when I finally received it it was dark purple. I wasn't happy about that so I called them up and what they did is gave me a free 2 year insurance :) This made me happy and therefore, I am likely to purchase from them again :)

Still nothing mate. I've called them up yesterday to get an update on my order so what they said is that apparently the person who received my laptop has only send it to them on Monday so they should receive it today. Afterwards they will have to check for any damage to the laptop and then send it to me. So I am hoping to receive my laptop till Friday (exactly 1 month later). I kind of hate the guy who had my laptop, because he received his laptop last Friday and he didn't bother to send mine back till yesterday.. Anything new on your side? :)

After 2,5 month of waiting i got refund! :) its only status update on pcs website still, but at least something move on. Im waiting for deposit back now hopefully will be today.
