Saw on your post history you are also wondering whether the strix 3090 is oc or not, did you ever get an answer? Will update once mine is delivered if not.
Only a suggestion to ask PCS directly. Thanks - though I suspect you may be too busy having fun to come post here šŸ˜…

While you're still waiting on your build I would recommend swapping out your cooler to the H115i PRO XT. The H100x is quite an old design at this point and with a beefy CPU and GPU I would definitely recommend investing that little bit extra into your cooling.
RAM-wise, I don't believe the instability issues with 4x8GB 3600mhz have been fixed yet so would recommend switching to 2x16GB.
Unfortunately 3080s are very rare right now, and STRIX 3080s are even more so, but fingers crossed PCS get some deliveries in soon!

This might be such a weird thing to say, because I'm usually pretty impatient. But. Enjoy the ride. The excitement of the purchase and anticipation of unboxing the thing is apart of the whole experience. Ordered knowing they'd be a wait, sucks of course but kinda enjoying popping into the forums, speculating when mine will go Into build. šŸ˜‚

Guys, I'm in my 3rd working day of build time (total 42 days with a 5900x and 3090) and I'm seeing people from Monday with the same build have their orders go into build and complete testing in a single day, then being dispatched and delivered the next day.

I'll ask PCS on a call what's going on but is this normal? Thank you

No generally once something goes into build it's normally pretty quick, can you list your full spec,to see if anything might be causing problems

Edit: I spoke to PCS once every day thos week, today included, and every day they tell me they expect the build and testing to completed that same day  but each day it hasn't been completed šŸ˜£ let alone moved into the testing stage.

This time I asked if the guy on the call would contact the build technician to ask if there were any issues as none were noted in his system log. Let's see if that promps something to happen ...

I don't want to be pushy but this does look odd compared to other people with same builds & very similar order times who are getting their orders built, tested and dispatched in 1 working day vs. my 3 days in build only.

So when it says building doest it usually mean it's in testing? Ther could be a fault that needs addressing (which in my opinion is horrible back luck but best now than when it gets delivered)

No, testing is meant to be a seperate status and comes after building. Mine is still in building for 3 working days.

The Pro doesn't come with RGB fans whereas the platinum does. In the Fractal case all the components aren't visible anyway, so might as well save the Ā£12. Functionally they are the same coolers.

Nice dude, when did you get a message that you are moved into a builiding stage? Today?

I called yesterday. Was told end of the month. I went amended my order to upgrade the SSDs. I then looked at my spec to check that had gone through and saw it was in building!

I actually missed the email as I was resigned to March before the build started.

You have an almost identical spec to me - good to get an ETA.

To help with people judge their ETA's, 5900x no GPU went into build today, 44 days in, for the people that have placed their orders more recently I don't think it will take as long as I hope that the wait was due to the Christmas shortages (and Brexit) and that PCS will be having more regular deliveries of the 5900x
