Hi, PC was delivered yesterday and all drivers, windows is updated but struggling with performance in games, getting 50 FPS in Apex for instance and only 30 in Fortnite. I have a G9 monitor. Just wondering if there's something stupid I've not activated etc? Internet is running at 170mbs, at a loss as getting better performance out of RTX 2080 on my laptop. This is from user benchmark:

UserBenchmarks: Game 44%, Desk 108%, Work 45%
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X - 105.2%
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 - 33.4%
SSD: Samsung 980 Pro NVMe PCIe M.2 500GB - 398.8%

HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB (2018) - 101.1%

How did you install your drivers especially the GPU drivers?

Once you've given all the specs and updated drivers, you might also want to run something like Firestrike and/or TimeSpy to test DX11 and DX12 performance. Personally, I find UserBenchmark incomprehensible.

G-SYNC enabled and using a DP cable not HDMI ?

Hi I’m having to use my phone, for some reason forum not working on computer. Yes windows updated, gsync enabled. 3D mark score 2846. Honestly not a clue what’s going on. Also using a DP cable attached to GPU.

Looks like you have some optional updates via Windows. They are mainly drivers so normally I would suggest installing all of them first and seeing if it changes anything.
It might not but then at least rules that angle out.

The other thing to check is the leads going onto the GPU, follow them back to the PSU, there should be 2 separate leads

Doesn't the 3DMark test suggest turning off V-Sync before testing?

Although I wouldn't think it would affect the scores that much...as the GPU score is nearly 80% lower than the average.

For comparison, this is what I was getting with the same spec - apart from being a RTX3070 - the CPU score is about the same (before I removed the 4.3GHz cap), but GPU is much better...

Installed those updates and now the computer won’t start at all. Motherboard flashing red and GPU fans not working. I’ll give PCS a call. Thanks for your help honestly so much appreciated.

I would check the power connection(s) as suggested earlier on, but understand if you don't want to
