Yeah this is the thought process, I didn't go to Gen4 due to budget constraintsI'd imagine the idea behind @Steveyg 's choices being the smaller faster 500GB Intel drive would be a drive for Windows and applications then the larger slower (but still pretty quick) 1TB PCS drive being for basically everything else (games, file storage etc). Neither of them are Gen 4, although that's not necessarily an issue, Gen 3 NVME's are still lightning quick compared to a HDD or even SATA SSD.
