2700x Holding fire for now on the build as I want to see if the price come down next month. I don't need the next gen chip though

Trying to put together a ryzen system on here. I can choose the same 3000mhz ram as 4 sticks of 8gb or 2 sticks of 16gb. What's the difference? One is slightly more expensive.
