Personally, I would highly recommend the RTX2070 as the GPU can't be upgraded and it'll give you more longevity with the machine. When you're spending that much money, you may as well max out your options. Maybe go for a smaller size m.2 drive for now and that can be upgraded later on when you...
I would echo @demon28 and repaste. I repasted for the first time ever and did a poor job (using Arctic MX-4) and my GPU was hitting 80-85 degrees.
I then changed to Kryonaut and learnt how to repaste and now I struggle to even reach 75 degrees, most of the time I'm around 71-72 (with full...
@maxff9 All laptops (including desktop replacements) have mobile GPUs. Some have Max-Q variants which are less powerful than mobile. It goes Desktop>Mobile>Max-Q. Whilst the configurators won't state 'mobile' after their names, assume all laptops are mobile GPUs unless it has Max-Q on the end...
@Nursemorph amazing isn't it. I just finished Rise of the Tomb Raider on it...These deep blacks in the tombs is mind blowing. Can't wait to try SOTTR now. We really need some kick ass GPUs...
@Nursemorph I got the same tv recently. I tried 4k at 60hz (due to the same GPU limitations you're indicating) and then tried 1440p at 120hz. I ended up sticking with the latter. Like I'm not sure if my eyes are deceiving me but the 1440p on this tv looks unbelievable.
Can't wait to get a GPU...
Hey @FraAnt
I managed to overclock my RAM to 3200mhz using Ryzen Master. Take a look at videos from the fella in the link below. Very easy to follow and it worked great.

@fevieira this one maybe perfectly set up for you mate as you share the same CPU.
To answer your questions from my perspective;
1) I personally wouldn't use a HDD. I'd utilize the m.2 drives for 2 SSDs as they're much faster. Avoid Intel drives also, go for PCS or Samsung if budget allows.

Hey @SpyderTracks. I have the Nova with the RTX 2070. I was planning on buying an LG CX with the 120hz display for when I'm at home.
The plan is to run it on 1440p up to 120hz though as the card wouldn't manage 4K for obvious reasons. Is it safe to assume because it's a 2070, it'd have HDMI...
Out of interest gents, which new GPU from both AMD & Nvidia fits in well with a 120hz UW 1440p monitor? I find the UW monitors harder to correlate. It's the Acer X34P.
