Thank you SpyderTracks!
That worked. I didn't see anything under Windows 11 in the downloads section, it was under Windows 10. That's probably why I didn't see it.
I'm working out what the other drivers mean exactly and if they are needed.
Thank you once again
Okay, thanks.
It was repasted around a year ago. Will so that again. It's strange though the fans hardly ever even run with ubuntu.
When you say correctly configured before it's installed, what would I be looking for?
Hi,
I have a Fusion IV and ever since I got it, it runs slow and the fans run crazy with Windows 10 & 11. The laptop gets hot, but there is no excess dust. Does anyone else have this problem?
I run Ubuntu mainly so it's not a huge problem and runs exceptionally without any of the above issues...
Thanks for that. Very useful tool.
I've found RAM that is compatible. It will extend the life of it further till I can order a new build.
I should have been clearer. That SSD is still installed, but I bought a faster 1Tb Crucial SSD as the main drive :)
I wouldn't be able to rely on an HDD too!
I’m sure Linux will be fine on the Fusion IV
The spec is fine for Linux and what I need really. Just will be documents, web browsing, and possibly PhD work at some point down the line.
Thank you for your input
I'll be looking around Stephen. Thank for the contribution.
Have you any experience with the Fusion IV? I've searched and seen a few reviews on the forum.
Thank you for the prompt response all.
Thanks for the info on drivers Stephen.
I meant M.2 from my old laptop not SSD.
I thought about the Fusion IV and the spec seems better then what I can get with the lafite

Hey all,
So, my current Lafite 2 has gone to laptop heaven. I'm looking at getting a new laptop running Ubuntu 20.10.
Ignore the SSD for now. I have one 1TB SSD and my 500Gb SSHD from my old Latife. Is there space for that on this chassis? I don't need the 128Gb so will swap that out.

Hey all,
I am looking to upgrade my GPU. I am aware of the current component shortage due to COVID and Brexit.
My current system is listed below. I am looking to upgrade from the GTX 660, to the GTX 1660 OC 6GB GDDR5 (GV-N1660OC-6GD). Would this be compatible with my power supply and system...
