PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Why can't I increase my C Drive partition?

Resolved using the paid version of AOMEI and Allocate Free Space feature from H Drive, which free version/other software didn't have.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Why can't I increase my C Drive partition?

Thanks. I've just recreated the 100Gb partition (labelled it H TEMP) and tried moving it to the left but no luck. I've also tried merging it with the C Drive, as below, but it's greyed out - maybe the Attributes gives a clue why, but I don't see what the solution is.

Many thanks - but how do I do that please? Is it just a 'Move Partition' function?

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Why can't I increase my C Drive partition?

Yes, I did that, as I stated and is shown as such, in "Unallocated" (before I took the screenshot above, when I reverted it back to how it was because it didn't work i.e. the system couldn't 'see' the additional 100Gb available for the C Drive).

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Why can't I increase my C Drive partition?

Hi I'm trying to resize my C Drive, currently 150Gb, to 250Gb and reduce the D Drive (part of the same disc), currently 350Gb to 250Gb but the 3 brands of partitioning software I've used to try to do this have all said the 150Gb is the max. At first I thought the issue was with the...

My HDDs are all WD 4Tb (I wouldn't dare go higher, too much to lose). Some folk collect movies and photos, I collect bootleg audio recordings of all my favourite 70s bands 😁. I hadn't actually considered powering my powered external HDDs from a powered external hub, thanks. I have 2 already...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST 8 pin power cable needed from Corsair TX650M to Inateck 4 Ports PCIe to USB 3.0 Card

Yes in theory but even the powered hub I have can't run a HDD, else it would have been my first port (ouch) of call.

OK thanks. I don't see any free Molex connectors. I guess I'll just have to buy a couple of external hard drive caddies for those drives and plug them into the new USB ports.

No. They're all assigned to a HDD. Edit well 3 of them were until I had to assign the SATA cable to the USB card so yes they're free now I suppose.

Sorry, "power ports"? You mean the blue external sockets?

OK here's the bottom line. Perfect response thank you. I was about to say I have had to disconnect the cable to 3 of the HDDs, which is a huge PITA. Are there cables available with more than 3 SATA connectors?
