PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST PC Build For Animation and Rendering. Any good? (£2500 - £3000 budget)

Ok done it! 😬 Changed the order. I think @Scott really got in my head with his advice that RAM can be added easily. Also looked at the benchmarks again and it's a 30% increase in performance in C4D, which I think will justify the extra £125 spent.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST PC Build For Animation and Rendering. Any good? (£2500 - £3000 budget)

Thanks @AgentCooper! That's useful to know. Would you say it's a "it's not worth having without" kind of situation?

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST PC Build For Animation and Rendering. Any good? (£2500 - £3000 budget)

Sorry to revive an old thread! @Scott's advice on the RAM and CPU has been playing on my mind and I'm considering altering the order! I'm just wondering if you could explain why it's also necessary to upgrade the motherboard? It appears from the chipset that the 5950X is compatible so I'm just...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST PC Build For Animation and Rendering. Any good? (£2500 - £3000 budget)

Oh good to know! I think that might be too much of a cost jump with the motherboard too. I'm already very impressed with the 5900X anyway to be fair. Since I was going to order this computer in October and decided at the last minute to wait and see what the new AMD CPUs looked like in November...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST PC Build For Animation and Rendering. Any good? (£2500 - £3000 budget)

Mmm that is true.... I'll give it a think for sure! It's only £20 difference to do what you are saying. Isn't there this whole business of Ryzen preferring the RAM spread over 4 sticks instead of 2 though? That's what kind of made me think it was necessary to kind of commit to all 4 now.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST PC Build For Animation and Rendering. Any good? (£2500 - £3000 budget)

Hi Scott, Thanks so much for you input! I'll definitely consider the Define 7 if the Meshify is out of stock, but I do like the tinted glass on the Meshify. I know you can get that glass on the Define, but it seems that the PCS stock version doesn't have that. Also noise isn't too big of an...

Well it wasn't originally on the standard configurator for me either, but then when I went to the amend order configurator it was there so... I dunno. 🤷‍♂️ Perhaps it's an error and I'll end up getting a call from them saying they don't have it.

Any thoughts on the Fractal Meshify C? I like the look of that case and it looks like it has good airflow

Agent Cooper, thank you so much for your input. Really useful information on the cooler! I'll definitely go RGB Platinum then although I think I'll have to wait for it to come back in stock. As for the cases, I'll look into the Define 7 again but the Cosair looks like a great option too :)

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST PC Build For Animation and Rendering. Any good? (£2500 - £3000 budget)

Are there any other cases you might recommend? The Define is a little above my budget. I would push but from the reviews I've read people seem to complain that unless you have the front door of the case open, it doesn't have very good airflow, which was the problem with the NZXT.

Sorry quick question on the cooler. Is there a difference between the H115i Pro and Platinum RGB, other than one having lights on the fans?

Such great advice! Thank you Nursemorph. I didn't know I could revise the order, that's amazing. OK well I'll take another look and think about making those revisions. I really appreciate you taking the time. Thanks again!

Hi NurseMorph, Thank you so much for your response. I was a little impatient and went ahead with the order, before making a few tweaks to the spec based on some advice I got from a PC Specialist representative. I'm pleased to say that I went for the 850 watt PSU, AX200 wi-fi and on...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST PC Build For Animation and Rendering. Any good? (£2500 - £3000 budget)

I'm looking to build a PC for work. I do animation and motion graphics in After Effects and Cinema 4D. My budget is between £2500 - £3000 - ideally keeping it at the lower end of that. Is this a good build for that amount? Have I missed anything? Case NZXT H511 MID-TOWER GAMING CASE (BLACK)...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST After Effects and C4D Build

    Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can give me some advice or validation perhaps on this build I've spec'd out. I was waiting for the Nvidia 3080 and the Ryzen 5000s to come out but now they have and I'm ready to buy!
I've built a PC a long time ago in the past so my knowledge is a bit out of date...
