6800XT is actually potentially my next upgrade - dependant on AMD’s attempt at DLSS and assuming i get a 4k 120hz TV. And yeah i get what you mean with the fans, Corsair need to release the ML elite fans separate, but i have my light white or green normally anyway.
I believe AMD are releasing their version of DLSS. With 4K 60hz you could have easily got away with a 3070, especially with DLSS. I guess the price of the 3080 is so high because of hashrates
As is the way with paradox games though, it will be half a game on release and not worth buying for a year and then come the DLC’s that cost £20 twice a year 🤣
I’ve built in a P400A dRGB and i wouldn’t recommend it. Can’t mount an aio in the roof, the panels are annoying to remove and it’s airflow design gets a lot more dusty than a corsair airflow case. Also, it can’t mount a 360mm rad with hoses at the bottom and it is very easy to hit the reset button.
He bought his pc from PCS, who don’t do MSI boards - it is a sarcastic post. He is insinuating my info is irrelevant, as no one can get an MSI board. Maybe i am wrong, but that is how i see it.
But the comment stands, with the correct cooling, the zen3s auto boost to insane clock speeds and i...
I guess it could be silicone lottery, or i have optimised my system really well - but my 5800X with a H150i EC maintains 4.65ghz and is 99th percentile on benchmark tests. I think Noddy may have already tested it, as his 5600X with stock cooler (i think), sits like 600mhz below my 5800X in...
Capellix fans take in something like 80% more air also, so although the radiator may be the same, there is a significant amount more air moving over it and therefore cooling the liquid inside.
I’d go intel personally. They have a 5 year warranty and unless you use really work your pc, i can’t see it failing any time soon and even once it does, they are not difficult or expensive to replace.
The 2TB one is absolutely fantastic, but the 1TB has average write endurance, which is the point of failure, the 500gb is even worse. I would be very tempted to say go for it, as it is a gen 3 and by the time it does fail in many year, gen 4 will be cheap as chips.
The 500gb and 2TB are 660p...
