    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Computer build suggestions/recommendations

The monitor I use is a Black Hawk G-Master g2730hsu. I mentioned Ark as its very very badly optimised and with all the dlc requires around 400gb of storage

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Computer build suggestions/recommendations

Hi there, I am thinking of retiring my 6 year old computer and getting a new one. I have a budget of around £4000. Extra storage for me would be key, as I only have around 1.4tb of storage on my current computer. I would ideally like to be able to play most of, if not all of my steam library...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST External hard drive enquiry

That is quite useful information actually. Honestly I thought the only different between HDD and SSD's is that one is faster, but more expensive whilst the other generally has a much larger storage capacity.

That would certainly be easier, wouldn't shifting games between drives reduce their lifespan faster? As for my specs: Case PCS MAELSTROM T900 BLACK GAMING CASE Processor (CPU) Intel® Core™i5 Quad Core Processor i5-4690 (3.5GHz) 6MB Cache Motherboard ASUS® H81M-PLUS: Micro-ATX, LG1150...

That does seem quite reasonable in price, having some suggestions certainly helps (as someone who isn't tech savey) with decision making on what to get (or not to get). Thanks!

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST External hard drive enquiry

Are external hard drives viable for gaming? I have a HDD and SSD which is almost full, so I was thinking an external hard drive would be a handy fix until I can save up for a new computer? I've read that 7200 RPM is the basic require for a gaming external hard drive, is that accurate?

I'll give that another go. I used an air can on the machine a couple weeks ago though, so it visually doesn't look as bad as it has been in the past.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Odd noises from computer

Sorry for the delay, its been a long day. The sound seems to be coming from the back of the machine. I'm fairly certain the fan located on the top of the case is making some of the noise, but i'm not sure if thats the only part of the machine causing it. I mean the top fan, back fan and cpu fan...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Odd noises from computer

Hi folks, I've had my computer from PCspecialist for 4 to 5 years now. I've noticed a odd set of noises coming fro my computer for the past 2 months and i'm not sure if its something to be concerned about. I took a set of recordings of it: computer noises - YouTube & computer noise - YouTube...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST How to upgrade existing desktop.

Hi there, I have a desktop I ordered roughly 3-3.5 years ago. Was wondering what I can add/replace to upgrade my desktop via the service provided by PC Specialist so I could play games with even better graphics, a faster processing speed and ideally more memory. My budget would likely be...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Seeking an ideal online gaming build

Looking for help in buying a new desktop in the price range of £700 - £900 as even though ive spent many fun hours/years behind a plastic screen I ironically find myself at a loss as to what parts would work well together to achieve the result I am after (affordably). Ideally the sort of gaming...
