Hi guys, first time posting. I'm after a decent build for £1600 max. I've done a fair bit of research into the Processor and GPU and as far as I can tell, they're the best I can get without spending hundreds more. Here's the list:

Case
FRACTAL DEFINE R4 BLACK PEARL QUIET MID-TOWER CASE

Processor (CPU)
Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-4820K (3.7GHz) 10MB Cache

Motherboard
ASUS® X79 DELUXE: INTEL® SOCKET LG2011, WIFI

Memory (RAM)
16GB KINGSTON HYPERX BEAST DUAL-DDR3 2400MHz X.M.P (2 x 8GB KIT)

Graphics Card
4GB AMD RADEON™ R9 290 - DVI, HDMI, DP - DX® 11, Eyefinity 4 Capable

Memory - 1st Hard Disk
240GB KINGSTON HYPERX 3K SSD, SATA 6 Gb/s (upto 555MB/sR | 510MB/sW)

2nd Hard Disk
3TB 3.5" SATA-III 6GB/s HDD 7200RPM 64MB CACHE

1st DVD/BLU-RAY Drive
24x DUAL LAYER DVD WRITER ±R/±RW/RAM

Power Supply
CORSAIR 750W RM SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET

Processor Cooling
Corsair H80i Hydro Series High Performance CPU Cooler
Thermal Paste
ARCTIC MX-4 EXTREME THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY COMPOUND

Sound Card
Creative Sound Blaster® Audigy™ FX OEM

Genuine Windows 8.1 64 Bit - inc DVD & Licence
DVD Recovery Media
Windows 8.1 (64-bit) DVD with paper sleeve

£1,664.00

Yeah it's a little over! I'm not sure on the Motherboard, CPU Cooler or the case, or whether the RAM runs too fast for the Motherboard. I know the R9 290 runs very hot. What are the opinions?

Thanks!

Definitely the 780TI then? Tis a fair bit more expensive than the r9 290

You could always go for two 780's... ;D
Also, do you really want a soundcard? Most nowadays are no better than onboard, unless you spend a 100 & get a pro grade & have serious speakers to match.
