here is a config ive made for £1800 i will be using it for gaming mainly but so video recording aswell.

1) should i wait for haswell as it is better and due out soon.

2) can anyone build me a gaming pc with better gpu than i have for around £1400 , as with my original i have 2 monitors included.

3) please be honest as my final build needs to be finalised by wednesday, same day as haswell i believe.?

And does anyone know if pcspecialist will be selling haswell asap.

thankyou , honest criticism welcome, only way to get better.

Didnt see that, can someone tell me price difference between haswell and the other. i7 4770k vs i7 3770k. Also, anyone know a build which is decent with these 4th gen for about £1400 thanks

You can check benchmarks online for your intended use. If it is for gaming you may want to consider the i5 instead, are you planning to overclock the cpu?

I plan on overclocking it quite high, 4.7-4.8 mark and ive now built with this new cpu, thankyou for the link, however a new problem has come about.

Whats the deal with these new motherboards. i did hours of research for the other ones, can someone tell me which is the best for high end use and the best for gaming with the intention of sli my gpu later date

Main use will be gaming to be honest but im looking at recording a few gameplays , small editing, since i have an expert here ill ask everything in one go.

1) is the gtz 770 enough for 2 screens, (only game on 1)
2) is the sabertooth the best mobo in your opinion, i trust the opinion of an expert.
3) is it better to sli 770 or 1 780 considering the saving you make on psu and cooling system

1) Yes
2) Any motherboard in the configurator should provide similar performance gaming wise, no need to go for the most expensive imo
3) Depends on the type of games, I think a single gtx 770 offers close performance to the GTX 780. In 1 screen SLI either is probably overkill unless you want to get +60fps in very demanding games.

Any changes people would make?? need opinions first ever gaming pc

http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/quotes/intel-haswell-pc/QbCXcaakCS/

Pretty much title says it all, i need help with this as i have never built a gaming pc before.

I want 60+ fps on most games ( dont expect that on crysis)

I want this to be future proof ( to an extent )

I plan on buying a second monitor , not for gaming though.

What would you guys change ( the i5 to i7 )

I plan on overclocking to 4.7 ish

Any advise is wanted , thankyou

I've put these two threads together as, per above, it's easier to follow when all in one thread.

The rig looks good for gaming - it might be worth ordering a pre-overclocked PC as then your overclock will be covered under warranty, the silver warranty is also well worth it for an extra £5.

Do you really need a 120Hz monitor? It's cool tech and does have some benefits (especially for 3D) but worth a bit of research first.

If you want dual monitors it might make more sense to go for a less expensive one. Any response time under 5ms will be fine.
