1440p 144hz

Hi guys

I am very new to PC gaming and have owned a Predator Triton 500 RTX2060, however I'm looking to sell this and upgrade to a full desktop from this site.

I am looking to obtain a minimum 1440p @60hz in most AAA games specifically open world games such as Far Cry 5/GTA V/Battlefield etc. I'd also like to be able to push 1440p 100-144hz in some slightly older games. I prefer high framerates in most titles rather than maxing out graphics settings.

I've done a fair bit of research in a short time but it'd be great to have your input on where this build is effective and where it isn't. My budget would be around £1300 give or take, not including a monitor which i will purchase seperately.

Id also like recommendations on a decent 1440p/144hz G-sync monitor (or Freesync if it works the same way) as the only one I've come across (ASUS) seems to have QC issues with backlight bleed.

anything else to mention would be great - thanks!!

Dan

The shape of the build is good.

The 275Q isn't great for airflow. I wouldn't be happy putting an RTX 2070 Super in it.

I'd probably also go with the SX6000 SSD as it's a bit faster for a similar price.

Do you need wifi? if so, you could up the card to the Intel AX200 which has a lot more features. If not, drop the wifi card,

The system will easily be able to manage high framerates (well above 60 anyway) in titles like Far cry 5 at 1440p.

As for monitors, I'd recommend not getting a gsync one, as this locks you into Nvidia GPUs. One that is "Freesync" or "Gsync compatible" would be my recommendation. There are some options here:

The Asus TUF, Gigabyte AORUS, and LG would be where I'd start looking, though you have plenty of other suggestions there too.
