2GB GTX 670 SLi (4GB total) or 4GB GTX 680 SLi (8GB total)?

Hi guys,

I know this isn't really a "check this spec" kinda question but I was wondering if I could get a little insight to the above configuration.
Let's assume that money is not an issue (aside from a GTX 690 lol). Would having that extra 4GB VRAM on a supposedly slightly better card benefit me in any way.
I'd be using it with a 3770K and on 1 screen.

Thanks for your time,

Jim

The Vram doesn't double using SLI,& it only really benefits when using multiple monitors.

I see. I was under the impression that if I have two GTX 680s, each with 4GB VRAM, that's a total of 8GB overall?

Would that extra VRAM esssentially be wasted if I'm only using one screen?

Morning,
You will end up paying more and see no noticeable difference. You can check this thread for more information regarding the 2gb vs 4gb GTX 680

If money is not an issue you could get the GTX 680 2gb SLI but if you want to save around £200 and obtained close performance then the GTX 670 SLI would be better value for money.
