3tb problem? Help?

Hi all, someone recently raised a point to me suggesting that windows would not recognize a 3TB HDD? or recognize it as having 3TB? As i plan to use the 3TB WD Caviar Green hard drive in my new PC from PCS, will I have to partition it to get the full 3TB? or is this false? I did quickly google it and it hasn't really helped me, just wondering if someone could clear this up for me? Thanks.

FYI I chose the 3TB HDD as a 3rd HDD which I am planing to use just for my very large iTunes library. Hopefully iTunes and the PC (Running win 7) will recognise this as having 3TB?? :S

Many thanks, Henry.

Also I wasn't sure where to post this thread, so I put it into the "Desktop" category?

Thanks!! :)

There is a problem with older motherboards & 32bit operating systems,
recognising 3TB,
looking at your spec you should have no such problem.

just to point out as ive been looking at the 3 tb on other sites not sure about pcs but the 2tb is half the price of the 3tb. personally id prefer 4tb in 2 drives than 3tb in 1 drive for the same price give or take a tenna.
