Hey everyone,
I just bought a desktop PC from PCSpecialist and since I got it that it's been acting a bit odd. Runs great but at times it just restarts by itself. This happens pretty much every time I use the computer but it seems to only happen when I'm in the desktop with no apps/games running which makes it odd.
I ended up downloading HWiNFO64 to check the temperatures and noticed CPU temps really high but I'm unsure of how to read them and if it's normal or not. Is this normal?
When running graphically intense games I don't see the CPU temps above 80ish degrees and GPU temperatures are always in the 60's below. UPDATE: Actually CPU temperates are at 89 degrees at 15-20% load. This doesn't seem right...
I did a RAM test and all sticks checked out without any errors. Also disabled automatic reboots from windows after some googling and the PC still reboots randomly.
The reboots and the CPU temps seems a bit off. I am not sure if the random reboots are CPU temp related or not. I also don't run any start up softwares besides Steam that could be causing it.
What could be causing these reboots if RAM passed the memtest86?
See specs and cooling placement below:
PSU: CORSAIR 1000W RMx SERIES
GPU: ASUS ROG STRIX GEFORCE RTX 3090
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X
RAM: 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3600MHz (4 x 8GB)
Cooler: Corsair H115i RGB PLATINUM
Extra Fans: 3x Corsair LL120 RGB LED Fan
Case: LIAN LI LANCOOL II MESH
Thanks in advance
Best regards,
Andre
