6GB not a option select when customizing?

Will PC's, ever start to have 6GB ram as a option? As it seems to be the sweet spot.

I mean generally, as time goes on, more an more applications that get released will take advantage of RAM.

I.e 4GB has been the standard for a while now, but for 90% of users, 8GB is simply to much.

But the middle way point would be 6GB.

Just saying.

6gb is speced for triple channel motherboards...

4gb for dual channel 2x2gb or 2x4gb as many mobos will not even detect the extra module if it isnt paired up.

8GB is never too much and is always good for future-proofing! But as Sleinous stated, you can select 6GB (triple-channel) on motherboard's that allow it.
