You would get the money back, or you could just swap to a different GPU and you would get the difference back if said new card was cheaper.

Note refunds/money back can take upto 5 working days in general just because these things can take that long

No clue what is in stock or not currently as I haven't been keeping up with things. You could contact them today if you wanted as they are open till 5pm apparently....if you are using a desktop/laptop, you could maybe try Live Chat (a widget appears on the contact us page)...usually just for pre-sales but they may still be able to tell you
When i go to amend the order it does say in stock so might aswell try it xd

I amended my order the other day to the 6900 XT as it said it was in stock, lets hope our orders go into building soon.

My order has only been on for 9 working days, hope the GPU gets allocated before they go out of stock.
I believe components are assigned only once you are ready for build, ie if all your components are in stock when you reach number 1 in the queue yours will be built next

I know this is random but would it be better to know what number you are in the queue or is that not actually possible

Afaik they wont tell you the number anyway, but I'm not sure it'd help anyway unless you also know how many they build in a day and how many were waiting for out of stock items or ones with out of stock items that might turn up that day or the day after etc either.
Too many variables in my opinion to make the number useful - unless its number 1 and everything is in stock :)

Where did you hear that it will be 4-5 more months to wait? I'm on about 30 days preprod now waiting for my 5900 cpu and 3080 machine.

This thread is where that estimate comes from. Pretty much every single person who ordered a 3080 is looking at 60-70 working days wait (20 working days is 1 month) And if you ordered a Rog-Strix I think you're SOOL.

OMG, I'm on 25 working days for a 3080 and 5950x.

Waiting another 2 months (minimum) is going to be absolutely devastating.

I would definitely cancel my order and go somewhere else. Other retailers sell builds with 3080 in stock.
I'd love to keep my order with PCS because I love the community and the company, but the communication to customers hasn't been the greatest.

It would have helped a ton if they could just show on the website the date of the latest build that went on "Building" with an RTX 3080.
This way people can at least check their turn once in a while.

We are all waiting so patiently...

Ahh, so not an "official" announcement somewhere. Yes I've also been watching this thread as I'm about 28 days now for a 5900 and 3080 build. I thought the 4-5 months was from this point. Hopefully things will start to pick up soon, but given all the world events. I'm not so sure. At this rate the TI version will be soon and depending on cost might be worth looking at switching to that....
