Advice on prospective upgrade needed

Dear knowledgeable PC users

My current setup is detailed below.

It was made by pcspecialist in 2010, for an Everquest / World of Warcraft gamer (me).

I've found though that it now can't run WoW at full spec without seizing up, and I'm wondering if anyone could give me some hints on how I could upgrade any of the components in order to make it better?

I've been advised by pcspecialist they no long stock the 2000MHz RAM, but I'm willing to buy a different kind if it will make it better even if I have to buy something else for it too.

Any advice appreciated.

Think 'no'? Just hit me :punk:

Isn't the he 5970 a dual gpu? I would have expected it to offer close performance to newer GPUs like the gtx 770. Maybe some crossfire/driver issues but I am not certain.

Yes,the 5970 is a dual graphics card, but accordiong to Game Debate "In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 are significantly better than the AMD Radeon HD 5970"
It's also quite a bit below the GTX 770 on this chart (ranked 60)

Having said that though,I don't think the the 5970 should have a problem running WoW on highest settings according to benchmarks I've seen.

Thank you so much for all the input guys - really helpful.

So if I bought 8GB of 1600mHz RAM (matched chips I've heard are advisable) and the Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 (I'm guess as big as I can here), are you saying that I wouldn't need a new motherboard?

I could just remove the ones I have now and slot the new ones in?
