First HDD is for OS etc, the 2ND HDD is just for FSX.

I'm not sure about the requirements for flight sim. so I don't know about most of the spec. but there were a couple of things that jumped out at me.
1. The hard drives seem completely out of line with the rest of the system- If you are spending this much on a pc, I would recommend getting an SSD as a primary drive (for the OS) and a WD caviar black HDD, for the sake of £70 this will make a big difference.
2. The case just seems horribly overkill to me - It's HUGE! The dimensions are 704 x 344 x 664 mm.
3. The PSU also seems massively overkill..

I agree with bigben unless you really have some money to spare I wouldn't spend £319 on a case and would use the money to upgrade your hard drives. Clearly with this kind of spec an SSD would be a must have.

FSX is very CPU hungry so a 6 cores is a good idea but from what I've heard the performance difference between the 3930k and 3960x doesn't justify the price difference.

Are you gaming on a single or multi-screen setup? I'd go for this spec on a single screen.
Also what's your budget?

Thanks fo rthe comments,

I've twig it a bot to include better HDD, not too different to the above.
It will be used on a single screen and my budget is fairly relaxed and I'm not restricted by it, I just want to get the right rig.

I've heard that most simmers have overclocked machines but that they can be unstable, I don't want to spend money on a decent PC for it to crash etc.

Extreme overclocks have a higher chance of becoming unstable but if done and tested the right way there shouldn't be any problems. If you decide you want an OC I'd recommend choosing an OCed rig instead of doing it yourself as PCS have a lot of experience in this domain, plus you get a better thermal paste
