Anti-Aliasing in windows 7 with NVIDIA GTX460

Hi all,

I'm running Flight Simulator 9 on my new PCS rig and while the frame rates etc are excellent I'm having problems with AA settings.

Many of the edges on objects seem jagged, I've got the AA switched on in the game and also changed some settings in the NVIDIA control panel but still no change.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can change this?

I've read on pasts that I might need to install something called nHancer which supports NVIDIA cards but I've also read that this is not 100% certain to fix it.

Any advise is appreciated.

Hi,

I'm using the same resolution in game as my desktop which is 1440 x 900x32.
In the game I've ticked the AA box and have the filtering set to Trilinear.

On the Nvidia control pane I have:

Global Settings [Program Settings]:

Ambient Occlusion OFF [not supported for this application]
Anisotrophic Filtering APPLICATION CONTROLLED [16x]
Antialiasing - Gamma Correction OFF [on]
Antialiasing Mode APPLICATION CONTROLLED [enhance the application setting]
Antialiasing Setting APPLICATION CONTROLLED [32x]
Texture Filtering OFF [on]
Texture Filtering negative LOD bias ALLOW [allow]
Texture Filtering quality QUALITY [high performance]
Texture Filtering Trilinear optimization ON [on]

Ok, is 1440 x 900 the highest the monitor will support?

Are there any higher AA options such as 16 x?

1440x900 is the highest resolution available.
All AA options are set to their highest as well, both in the game and in the Nvidia control panel.

Ok, that res isnt that high so i would expect some jaggedness, but heres what i have found so far:

I am also using W7-64 with FS9 and nHancer (with 8800GT videocard). It works fine.

Be sure you have the latest version of nHancer!

Here are my settings

Anisotropic Filtering: 8x

Download and install nhancer and input the settings above as a starting point, if nhancer gives you trouble turn Windows UAC off.
