forgot to add
4k monitor, no video editing
thanks
I don't understand. A 4K video editing, but not gaming, PC for £1000? That's impossible. You need to compromise to 1080p for this budget or look to increase the budget twice. Do you currently have a monitor? If not, for a 4K monitor only you'd be looking to spend FROM £350, but realistically £500 more.

The OP said not for video editing - just photo editing. I am assuming that the 4K monitor is already purchased and being used with a previous PC, using the listed applications.

Oh sorry, I've missed that bit...

Still, for 1000 Monopoly money there's too much to think putting the build around... I'm too lazy for this. 1080p for this budget would make sense though.

It’s not being used for gaming, so doesn’t need a high spec GPU for that. 1080p or 4K makes little difference for this application, other than the amount of detail on screen.

4K in my mind means expensive and I can't help myself :ROFLMAO: I should think gaming PC > non-gaming PC, but my brain is keep resisting and pushing me to think about gaming PC o_O

The 5600x is a newer generation CPU you’ll get far better performance out of it than the 3600xt,

AMD cpus need fast ram to get the best out of them so changed to 3200mhz

The 1050ti GPU will be fine for you current needs.

larger PSU to support any future upgrades.

with your storage 512gb will be enough as this will be your fast OS Drive (plus the money saved allowed performance upgrades elsewhere)

The system is all set up as well so if you have more challenging tasks in the future all you have to do is swap out the GPU for a more powerful one.
